Welcome to Cloud9Training.com-my online instructional design portfolio! I am an instructional designer with a passion for designing memorable and effective e-learning content and design.

 

What I do-

  • Create online education and training programs, websites, and promotional materials using Adobe Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, as well as HTML, javascript, and PHP.
  • Serve as an adjunct professor for Clark State Community College teaching Business Law and Real Estate Law.
  • I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (majoring in marketing) from the Ohio State University, and a Masters in Business Administration and Juris Doctorate from Capital University.
  • I am a licensed Ohio attorney and registered nurse with a passion for creating engaging e-learning based programs.

What I’m Excited About-

  • I can’t wait to see the future of learning. I think we’re on the brink of better, faster, lighter, and more integrated experiences. I like what I see so far.
  • The popularity of e-learning at all levels of learning as well as the adoption of computer based training.

One of the Most Challenging Things I’ve Ever Done-

  • Selling my 3,000 square foot 1870s federal style home and moving into a 400 square foot travel trailer while our new home is being built. Living "tiny" is a challenge, especially with two very large canine fur babies!

More about my career-

  • I became involved in e-learning and computer based training while working as a nurse clinician/ computer based training development and educator for an Ohio hospital system.
  • I get super excited when I take a concept and make it come to life for students. Success is when those same students take class concepts and successfully apply them to real-life settings.
  • I love teaching and the opportunity to be creative with all sorts of digital media. As an instructional designer, I get to do it all-- It's never work and I simply have a blast doing it!

The Rest of the Story-

  • I currently live in Ohio, in the middle of Amish country, where I happily trek through the woods with the turkey, deer, squirrels, racoons, and other creatures.
  • My biggest fans include my boyfriend, Dave, and my extra large fur babies--Bailey and Bella.
